John presented a talk entitled "Chemistry through computers" Monday, October 5, 2009 to the seventh grade science class at St. John Middle School in Encinitas, California. Thanks to Ms. Castaldi for being such a gracious host.

John was awarded the Dox research fellowship by the department of chemistry Yale University. The Dox Fellowship was established to provide stipend support to graduate students in the field of organic chemistry, for recognition of excellence in academics and research, from the last Will and Testament of Lucille E. Dox.

John successfully passed his qualifying exams Wednesday, May 28, 2008, and has been advanced to candidacy for his Ph.D.

John received his Masters of Science degree at the Yale University commencement ceremony Thursday, May 22, 2008.
February, 2007
John was invited to join the research group of William L Jorgensen Friday, February 16, 2007. John will pursue his thesis prospectus and Ph.D. research in computational chemistry under the guidance of Prof. Jorgensen.

John arrived at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut Friday, August 18, 2006 to begin his work towards a doctorate in chemistry.

John was accepted to Yale University for graduate studies in chemistry Tuesday, February 14, 2006, being awarded the Distinguished Chemistry Research Fellowship for additional stipend support.
